The Polish Club Ashfield loves the Christmas Season and have planned a variety of different events, activities, and promotions for you and your loved ones to enjoy.
EUROPEAN CHRISTMAS MARKET
Sunday 1 December 2024 | 10am – 4pm
The Polish Club Ashfield European Christmas Market is a community based market that looks to provide and share inspired foods, goods, crafts, services, and entertainment.
Enjoy a day filled with winter festivities, live entertainment, delicious food, crafts and other wares. The market will be situated indoors in the Grand Salon of The Polish Club Ashfield on Sunday 1 December 2024 between 10:00am – 4:00pm.
With more than 25 festive stall to peruse including our friends Fragrant Flames, Capella & Co, Hanna’s Hobby, Tiny Town Ceramics, Polish Design Store, and more – you will find a Christmas treat for anyone!
For the foodie, there’ll be pillowy pierogi (dumplings stuffed with white cheese or meat), kielbasa (Polish sausages) and pączki (giant jam filled doughnuts), and lots of European ciasto (cakes) to feast on. For something a bit more substantial, grab a table at the Polish Club’s restaurant Sto Lat for pork knuckles, schnitzels and potato pancakes. Or pop by Polka Cafe & Deli to pick up a selection of European chocolate, fruit flavoured vodkas, small goods, and other tasty condiments.
MIKOŁAJ/ ST. NICK FAMILY PHOTOS

The 6th December marks a very special day for many European Children – Mikołajki also known as St Nicholas’ Day – is a day filled with wonder and joy when the main man himself This year Mikołaj/St. Nick visits all the children that have been good through the year.
This year Mikołaj/St. Nick will be gifting us with his presence by making the extra special trip to the Polish Club Ashfield. Mikołaj/St. Nick will be dressed in his finest traditional Polish Christmas robes and will be seated in a European Christmas Wonderland.
The Polish Club Ashfield is extending an invitation to children and their families to sit for a Christmas Photo with a professional photogrpaher.
Each booking includes:
- 5 minutes time with Mikołaj/St. Nick
- a professional photogrpaher assisitng with the composition
- a selection of digital images that will be emailed within 48 hours after the session
This photo opportunity is only priced at $10 +booking fee!
CHRISTMAS CAROLS
Sunday 1, 8, 15, 22 December 2024, 3 – 4pm
In Poland it is customary to gather and celebrate the Christmas season with the uplifting singing of “Polskie Kolędy” – also known as Polish Christmas Carols. The Polish Club Ashfield’s “Polskie Kolędy” is a free concert held each Sunday during December between 3-4pm (except 8 December when the Kolędy start at 2pm). The concert will be led by guest singers and musicians from the community, who will sing several traditional Polish Christmas carols inviting the audience to join in.

WIGILIA ROYALE WITH BELLAS’S FEAST

Enjoy a Wigilia Royale experience with Bella Jakubiak of Bella’s Feast where elements of nostalgia and surprise entwine as traditional Polish festive flavours are refreshed in this unique and creative 12 course Christmas inspired menu.
This bespoke menu takes inspiration from the 12 Christmas Eve dishes served during Wigilia celebrations, which are creatively mixed with culinary components used in the Polish Royal courts.
There is no better way to start the Christmas season but with a generous menu offering to be enjoyed with friends and family. A perfect occasion for that pre-Christmas get-together, or early Wigilia celebration.
The dinner festivities will be enjoyed with each guest seated at communal tables. Bella will share her own unique insights into her contemporary menu through out the evening.

WIGILIA LUNCH & DINNER

Let the Polish Club Ashfield’s provider of hearty European cuisine Sto Lat Restaurant look after you this Wigilia (Christmas Eve). Taking inspiration from the 12 traditional Wigilia dishes and combining it with contemporary European & Australian techniques and produce, it will be a meal to savour in.
