ABOUT THE MUSEUM

Muzeum Pamięci Sybiru (Sybir Memorial Museum) opened in September 2021 on the anniversary of Soviet aggression against Poland, and has since become not just a Polish, but an internationally recognised institution.

The museum’s mission includes education, research, collecting and preserving artifacts, and spreading awareness of the history of deportations and survival stories connected to Sybir.

It hosts permanent and temporary exhibitions, educational programs, publishing activities, and online projects sharing testimonies of survivors and their descendants.
