ABOUT FABBA | FROM ABBA TO MAMMA MIA TO FABBA
On April 6th, 1974, a relatively unknown Swedish group won the Eurovision Song Contest with a song titled ‘Waterloo’. ABBA had arrived, and the rest is history. But by 1982 it was all over. Even though ABBA ceased to record or tour together, their music continued to entertain, to enthral, to inspire. The countless hits have transcended time to remain as popular today as they were when first released, in some cases more so.
The movies Muriel’s Wedding and Priscilla, Queen of the Desert both featured ABBA’s music and won the group whole new generations of fans. The opening of the musical and the movie versions of MAMMA MIA! have audiences dancing in the aisles, reliving memories……and for some, discovering the ABBA sound for the first time.
FABBA will take you on a musical journey when life was as good as an Abba song and the only way to travel was on the Priscilla Bus….from Eurovision to Mamma Mia to the Abba phenomenon with all the songs, costumes and comedy combined into one FABBA-ulous show!
FABBA is a popular corporate & international act comprising of professional musicians and musical theatre performers.
They are represented in the States by the Don Casino Agency and work regularly on the American cruise ships.
While they are dedicated to replicating the Abba sound, they were inspired to add the theatrics and modern style to the songs as seen in the musical/movie.
LOCATION | 182 Liverpool Road, Ashfield (pedestrian access available from Liverpool Road only)
TRAIN | Only a 5-minute walk from Ashfield Train Station.
Take the Brown Street exit from the station and continue up Brown Street until you reach Liverpool Road. Cross the road and turn left, then follow the short path to our doors.
FREE UNDERGROUND PARKING | Entrance via 73 Norton Street.
The Club is accessible via the lift. On days when the car park is full, there is plenty of street parking in the surrounding area, with access to the Club through the front entrance at 182 Liverpool Road.
CLUB CHECK-IN REQUIRED | Beat the rush—give yourself time to check in at reception. Members enjoy fast-track check-in by simply scanning their Member Card. Guests can check in by scanning their driver’s licence or by becoming an Associate Member. Member’s receive 10% discount on selected items & other Member privileges.
