This Christmas season, let your children create traditional Polish Gingerbread inspired craft Christmas Ornaments. This school holiday workshop is designed for children aged 5–12 years-old and is hosted by Renata Brak from RENATA ART DESIGN. 

This class will give your child the opportunity to discover and develop intricate card cuttings skills; explore design elements and composition; provide knowledge of Polish cultural history; and most importantly have fun!

All budding artists will be presented with brown card, an assortment of coloured textas, festive ribbon, and scissors. They will have to opportunity to compose their own unique design and take home their unique creation. 

*Parents and guardians must always be on site

 

ABOUT RENATA ART DESIGN | RENATA ART DESIGN @renata.art.design is passionate about creating an arts community that is vibrant, impactful, and significant. Over the past two decades, Renata has worked for a variety of commercial galleries, artist run initiatives, auction houses, cultural festivals, and major arts institutions, most notably the Museum of Contemporary Art Australia. She has curated, facilitated, and marketed over 100 exhibitions nationally and internationally. Renata has a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Tasmania, and a Master’s in Art Curatorship from the University of Sydney.

In 2022, she was the Visual Arts Coordinator for the largest Polish Visual and Performing Arts festival outside Poland, PolArt Sydney 2022; where she facilitated over 11 workshops about Polish art and crafts, curated three exhibitions showcasing Polish Australian artists work, organised a children’s drawing competition, and launched an online arts store. Her aim is to inspire and promote Polish Art and Culture to the greater Australian audience.

 
GETTING THERE | The Polish Club Ashfield is located 182 Liverpool Road, Ashfield. Pedestrian access is only available from Liverpool Road. 
 
TRAIN | We are conveniently only a 5 minute walk from Ashfield Train Station. Take the Brown Street Exit from the train station, and continue up Browns Street until you reach Liverpool Road. Cross the road and continue left. The destination will be on your right. 
 
PARKING | We are delighted to welcome our guests to park their vehicles in our underground carpark. The entrance is located via 73 Norton Street. You can easily enter the club from the carpark using the lift. Alternatively, there is always plenty of street parking in the surrounding area with access to the club via the front entrance on 182 Liverpool Road.
 
CHECK-IN | Ensure to arrive 15 minutes prior to the event to be able to check-in at reception. Members can easily scan their members card, and guests can either scan their drivers license or become an associate member for $2. Allow 5 minutes to become a member.
 
WIFI | The Polish Club Ashfield offers all guests FREE WiFi. Ask the reception staff upon arrival to access the password. 
 
A MEAL AT STO LAT | Pair this event with a lunch (12:00 – 3:00pm) or dinner (5:00pm – 9:00pm) reservation at Sto Lat Restaurant. Bookings highly recommended to avoid wait time on the day.
