Join us as we showcase our repertoire we are taking to the 20th World Folklore Festival in Rzeszów, Poland. In July 2026, our ensemble has been selected to perform at the 20th World Folklore Festival in Rzeszów, Poland. The International Folklore Festival in Rzeszów is a globally recognised celebration of traditional music, dance, and cultural heritage. This international event brings together cultural groups from around the world to celebrate traditional music, dance, and heritage. Our group will proudly represent Australia’s Polish community on an international stage.
Special guest performances from Syrenka Senior, Intermediate and, Junior groups.
Polish Folkloric Ensemble Syrenka
Based in Ashfield, Sydney, Our ensemble is a Sydney based Polish folkloric dance group dedicated to preserving and promoting Polish cultural traditions through dance, music, and community engagement. With a rich 58 year history, Syrenka debuted at the National Shell Folkloric Festival for the opening of the Sydney Opera house in 1973. Also performing at the Opening ceremony of the Sydney 2000 Olympics, at all PolArt festivals in Australia since beginning in 1975, the World Festival of Polish Folkloric groups at Rzeszow in Poland in 1999, 2002 and 2019, Saint Pope John Paul II in 1986, numerous delegates from Poland, consular occasions and throughout Australia at concerts and multicultural festivals.
